"Booked Neil for our wedding reception back in July, which I was a little bit worried about as it was an international wedding with such a mix of guests! My husband's family is Japanese and I was really worried about them being too shy to dance, and we also invited a lot of Japanese friends from within the UK. I had also given Neil quite an eclectic playlist (a mix of Eurovision music, 2000s-2010s emo, 2000s school disco hits, funk, hip-hop, and some older classics for my family) and he was absolutely amazing at blending it all together!

We had a full dance floor for pretty much the entire night, I didn't hear any of the songs I had requested Neil specifically NOT to play, and the vibe was so good I almost just want to have another pointless party just to have Neil as my DJ again! I'm biased as it was my wedding but it was literally the best night of my life. It was like dancing in a nightclub where I had chosen every single son.

On top of his amazing skill, Neil was super friendly & approachable. I really couldn't recommend him more, he made an already great night even more fantastic and I would 100% book him again if I had a party."

Well this time 2 weeks ago I was heading for @shambalafest about to embark on another cavalcade of insanity, peaceful anarchy and absolute freedom.

Reintegrating into normal life is always a bit of a comedown but it's nice to be reminded that kind of energy exists and it will be there next year.

Massive thanks to everyone I went with, everyone I met there, and everyone I didn't meet there whose energy/vibes/costumes/existence added to the generally beautiful ambience that the festival seems so good at harnessing.

So following Shambala and losing my mind on the dancefloor a few times while I was there, I've been 'crate' digging - cruising through some of the tunes I used to play at Drop the Bomb...I couldn't help running into this little treasure trove - Ultimate Beats and Breaks.

I remember purchasing one of them by accident when I was first buying vinyl and instantly realised I was onto something special when it came with two identical records - to be mixed between on two turntables! The real deal.
